Ex-Nexus Marine, Ryker split apart from the military under less then optimal conditions and is ashamed of that failure despite him having no fault in it. He's worked good hard jobs since becoming a veteran but ultimately he is unable to escape the fate that had him joining the military for a better life in the first place.
