Me to Me after reading a smutty New Adult Novel:

- I wasn’t a fan of steamy scenes at first until reading chapter 55 of ACOMAF by Sara J Mass. After that,I thought “ these scenes aren’t so bad. it’s actually pretty good”

- I read my first every steamy scene at 19, and now at 22, I have read quite a few steamy books.

- Don’t get me wrong, I love steamy books but I don’t like those books which are just erotica and no plot. I like stories with actual plot and storyline and the steamy scenes just add spice to the book and aren’t the main point of it.

🎄A very Bossy Christmas 🎄 by Kayley Loring Book Review🎅

Summary:

Maddie the joyful executive assistant and Declan her Grinch of a boss. Why didn’t anyone tell her the Grinch was so hot...? So when Declan offers her a way to have Christmas off she seriously thinking about taking him up on it. What could go wrong? All she has to do is pretend to be his girlfriend for the holidays❄️.

Review: okay, this was totally an adorable romance that I read for smutathon. This is my first read by Kayley Loring but it definitely won’t be my last. I absolutely love it. I think that some holiday romance can have a real cheese factor. Not here. No no no. Loring does a great job of wrapping you into a very pleasing holiday romance setting. Both Maddie and Declan bring a joyish silly personality to the story I couldn’t help fall in love with them and their story. ❤️🎄❤️🎄

Mini Review: Grip is such a great character - equal parts smooth, confident, and charming. And really sexy (Kennedy Ryan can write a smoking hot sex scene!) He is an up-and-coming rapper, she his manager. They met 8 years before and sparks flew, and now they're together again trying to get his career off the ground. The author did an excellent job balancing the slow burn romance, character development, and commentary on social issues. There were a couple of rap songs, so the audio was great to have - just wish Jakobi Diem had done "Bruise". The female lead, Bristol, irritated me on more than one occasion. Her insecurities and naivety were grating and got a little repetitive but other than that this was a really solid introduction for me. This author can definitely pack a lot of story in a book and had me hanging on in anticipation. This is my first (along with prequel Flow) by the author but I am definitely going to be reading more.

Smut-a-thon Wrap-Up Look at all those flags!! I saved the best for last for #smutathon, I absolutely loved Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating. It was so fun, cute, and had me staying up late into the night. Hazel was the best, such a lovable character - I wanted to be her best friend, girlfriend, everything. It was a bit of a slow burn, but they were such a cute non-couple and I loved this premise of them setting each other up and going on double dates together. I found nothing to dislike about it at all. I read The Kiss Quotient earlier in the week and there were several similarities, but this was my favorite of the two due to the banter, insane chemistry, and the slow build to them finally sealing the deal. And the ending was perfect...5 stars
