“We have to go to the police.” she continued. “Forget the plan. We should’ve done it when you suggested it. We need to tell them everything. We’ll get a lawyer too. We can’t keep doing this, It’ll only make everything worse.” He shook his head, his face set hard with defiance.
“No... No, that’s exactly what he wants. He wants us scared and desperate enough to crawl into a police station to cry and beg. I’m not giving that asshole the satisfaction!” “But-”
“We get you out first!” he said sharply. “Back home. Where it’s safe. Where you have real support. Your brother, your country, that’s when we go to the authorities. We can't do it like this, cornered, and on his terms. I’m not going to play by the rules of a psychopath.” “But Bo... What about you? Your career, your family? Please, don’t ruin your whole life because of me.” His lips parted, and she could see the words building behind them, as he gathered his courage to speak them. He went still, gaze drifting toward the floor, and when he finally looked back at her again, his voice came quiet and pleading.
“Lily, I … I have to go see Sophia. I need to warn her. She’ll need to know what to say if the police show up looking for me.” That was what finally undid her. A tear slipped down her cheek before she could stop it. Bo’s eyes followed it.

“I should have told you.” she sobbed quietly. “If I had just told you, you would have known better than to get involved with me and this mess. Then we wouldn’t have been there, and Steven wouldn’t have hurt you.” “Hey, hey, no. You’re not responsible for any of this. This… none of this is your fault.”
She shook her head, looking up at him with such raw pain that it nearly broke him. “No, I’m serious. I think he’s dangerous. I mean, we know he is, but I think he’s much more dangerous than you might think. He’s said things to me that are… really disturbing.”
“Like what?” “It’s been a while now, so I don’t recall exactly how he said it, but…” She thought for a moment, her breath shaky. “He once said something like, he could kill any woman, if he wanted to. That he could do it with his bare hands. He said that’s why men are dangerous to women, and I could behave the same way as he could. When he thought I was having an affair, he said he’d kill me, and whoever I had been with. If he thinks you are that person, then … Oh Rob, I’m so sorry!” Bo felt a chill run down his spine. The situation was even worse than he had imagined. “Hey…” He grabbed the clean t-shirt he’d brought into the bathroom and quickly threw it over his head. He was feeling cold, and it wasn’t just because of the hot steam in the air slowly dissipating. “We need to go to the police with this. This is serious. We need to make sure he’s stopped before he can do any more harm.”
She closed her eyes, shaking her head with a pained expression.

"She was a mess. Sick to her core, wanting nothing more than to escape this reality. The urge to just shut her eyes and sleep off the entire ordeal was overwhelming. She wished she could sleep not just for a day or weeks, but forever, never having to wake up from this nightmare.
She bolted from the hotel, catching the first cab in sight. She was desperate to reach the safety of the airport. As the car pulled away, she prayed that no one from the band had seen her, and that Andy, whatever his faults, would keep this traumatic ordeal a secret."

He heard the slightest hitch in her breath. It wasn’t steady, wasn’t the deep, slow breathing of someone sleeping. It was softer, shallower, like she was awake and trying to keep it hidden. He wondered if he could feel his erection. If he could feel his heart pounding against her back.
He forced himself to stay still. Trying to melt into the mattress, to disappear, to make this moment dissolve into nothing. He didn’t dare move his hips, afraid that even the slightest adjustment might give him away. He squeezed his eyes shut, trying to feign the calm, rhythmic breathing of sleep. Maybe if he stayed perfectly still, she wouldn't notice. Gradually his desire dimmed to a dull, persistent throb, bearable enough to ignore if he didn’t think too hard about how close they were, and how easily he could've just ... Given in.
