I still love the idea of Creek being like “Branch loves his weapon collection I’ll give him one as a gift!” This is right after Poppy gives Branch her own gift of his favourite flowers so Branch just thinks this is some kind of vague threat because he knows Creek likes Poppy.

Branch: *Talking Shit about Bitty B/Secretly venting his own self-loathing out under the guise of just hating his past self*

Creek, 99% certain Branch is Bitty B and just waiting to have his theory confirmed: Mate, you shouldn't talk about a literal infant that way... it's unbecoming and in poor taste.

What Creek actually means: I know you're Bitty B and I hate how much self-loathing you have for yourself and how low your self-esteem is over something thag happened when you were a literal infant, please stop talking about yourself that way before I force you into the Hug Time cuddle pile and tell them not to let you out until you stop being so negative about yourself!

Creek fully aware the hug time is coming up in a few minutes “Look mate it’s kind of cringe to talk about babies like that. The kid probably had-” moves Branch over to the middle of the snack pack “-Stand over here for a moment-” Checks his hug time watch “-A lot going on in his life and I’m sure he doesn’t need some teenager giving him shit for it.” Branch is about to say something when everyone’s watch goes off and they close in on him “Oh you mother-” gets cut off by Guy Diamond and Biggie squeezing the air out of him.

I’m calling the Branch hunts down his brothers with the snack pack the snack attack because I think it’s funny.

Anyway I think most of the snack pack actually decides to go on this journey for Cooper once he sees the other genres in the scrapbook and has his moment of “That one looks like me!” Poppy is motivated to find the funk trolls first for Cooper and all their friends want to help. None of them know why Branch also wants to go and keeps insisting he was already going except for Poppy who found him sneaking around. Whenever someone asks why he wants to come he just says “I’m looking for some people.” And doesn’t elaborate while avoiding eye contact trying to look mysterious.

Cue bonding montage of them travelling through the forests in search of clue. One rough night when everyone is sleeping at their camp Poppy has a moment of regret because she’s homesick and wondering if this was the right choice and she starts quietly crying to herself which just breaks Branch’s fragile little heart and he quietly sings her a short song. Nothing elaborate just something his grandma used to sing for him. (The rest of the group heard he wasn’t a quiet as he thought)

Cooper has a moment later after hearing Branch singing where he confides in him why finding people like him is important to him and Branch decides that Cooper should know why Branch is out here too and he just Pulls out a Brozone poster (he didn’t have time to get his family photos) and tells him He’s looking for them. Cooper comes to the conclusion that Branch is a Brozone stan looking to reunite his favourite band but he respects it and offers to help him.

Of course Cooper tells everyone later that Branch is also a brozone fan and everyone is like well their music was amazing this is a perfectly normal motivation for trolls. Branch is their buddy now of course they’ll help him out!

After seeing Branch in those platform boots I can’t help but think he takes advantage of his new hight advantage and uses them to lean over Poppy and Creek.

Like look how much taller they make him. He would definitely be enjoying being the tall one.

Creek attempts to rework his approach because he thinks Branch didn’t like the flail because it was kind of impractical and Branch is all about function. He goes “okay whats a good practical tool? A pocket knife is useful!” Maybe he can sneak it in with some flowers that will show Poppy he can give gifts just as good as her!

So he sets out to get Branch a really nice pocket knife. A switchblade so he can use it one handed.

Meanwhile Poppy and Branch are arguing over Branch getting Satin and Chenille nunchucks with Branch arguing that “if Creek can randomly give me a medieval flail why can’t I give someone nunchucks?” When Creek comes up to them holding flowers and gives them to Branch which he takes out of confusion. Creek goes. “Hopefully this gets my message across properly this time~” and Poppy is next to Branch going “Aww~”

Branch just assumes everyone was making Creek apologize for the threats and goes “Thank you?” Creek just nods and gets out of there quickly because he succeeded and he doesn’t want to drag it out.

Later in the bunker Branch tosses the flowers on the table and accidentally triggers the switchblade into snapping open and bursting out of the bouquet which startles the shit out of Branch

Branch of course adrenaline running high is like “Wow Creek seriously doesn’t want me around Poppy! I thought we were getting along again this is terrible!” And immediately runs to Poppy because they need to do something about this before he has a heart attack.

Cooper asking Branch which Brozone member he’s hoping to meet first.

Branch realizes he wasn’t clear about why he’s looking for Brozone and he’s now embarrassed because he remembered if they know about his brothers then they find out about Bitty B and he cares about his reputation now. Lucky for him his colours aren’t coming back fully for a while.

The Snack Pack very much make it their mission to hear the laugh again, tho. That was adorable! Who knew Branch was such a cutie!? They did, but like... they had only just started scratching the surface. The laugh came as a huge shock for them because they were expecting a dep chuckle to be his laugh or for him to groan and do his little kicks and stomps.

Bramch for his part probably let out the laugh, had an 'oh shit' moment when he realized what he did, and started covering his mouth and trying to hide his face in mortification at laughing at one of Creek's jokes of all things in earshot of the other trolls! He's supposed to be a loner bad boy type, not giggle like a schoolgirl!!

It’s definitely embarrassing for sure but not as embarrassing as Creek realizing how cute he found that laugh. He also gets a bit of an inflated ego over it and now Branch has to hears jokes about how he’s being shellfish keeping that laugh all to himself like that. Branch is mad because he just learned that he likes puns and it’s Creek’s fault.

Now I’m just picturing Creek having a scrubs moment:

Creek: Wait, is he into me? Quick, make a bad joke and see if he laughs. [to Branch] Did you hear the one about the skeleton who couldn't go to the party? He had no body to go with.

Branch: [laughs] That's funny.

Creek: Well, that's not a fair test, that joke's hilarious.
