11. What do they feel most insecure about?

Thistle: she’s kind of timid and shy so she’s insecure about a lot of things, but probably insecure about being so timid and shy most of all :’D she’s just kinda flighty and nervous, she knows this and hates it.

Vali: definitely about being an artificially created half human/half alien creature in the first place. she doesn’t technically have family, and aside from the people that made her, pretty much everyone else regardless of terrestrial origin is either scared of or disgusted by her :’))))) LOL THIS GOT DARK FAST

21. Favorite kind of weather?

Thistle: probably late springtime! she’s not a huge fan of the cold, thinks it’s useless, and doesn’t like being too hot either. plus springtime means all the life starts coming back into nature and that’s where she’s happiest.

Vali: honestly probably doesn’t give two shits about the weather since her body has a nice built-in climate control and she can self-regulate pretty well. in extreme colds she might get a little sluggish but that’s only if she’s like, overly exposed to it. i think as long as it’s not storming or obnoxious in some other form, she’s fine :’D

23. Do they collect anything?

Thistle: pressed flowers, especially on her travels. makes her feel like she’s actually getting out there and experiencing the world :’3 what a lil flower child

Vali: THE TEETH OF HER VANQUISHED ENEMIES. nah, i dunno actually :’D she doesn’t seem like the collector type? also i’m not sure where she’d keep her stuff :’D she’s kind of on the move a lot

61. When bored, how do they pass time?

Thistle: if she has the chance, she likes basically disappearing into the woods for a while on her own. it’s how she collects her thoughts, plus she actually feels safer in the woods because there’s plenty of cover, she can hear someone coming from a pretty good distance, and she’s familiar enough with it to be able to navigate well and super quickly.

Vali: she likes researching about cultures, both human and alien. growing up in a lab, she wasn’t exposed to much more than whatever they fed her, and there’s always more to learn. i think she holds on to this tiny shred of hope that someday she’ll find her place, either on earth or somewhere else, so absorbing as much knowledge as she can makes her feel more prepared. (plus it’s really funny when she learns how to cuss :’D)

17. what do you think about when you need to be in a calm state of mind?

honestly, if we’re talking like an active panic state, the only thing that really works for me now is talking to daniel. he’s really soothing and good at calming me down and making me feel better, even if it takes a little while. if he’s not awake tho, and if i’m at home, i’ll watch some achievement hunter or markiplier or something. aaaaand if i’m in public, i’m kinda screwed.

it’s weird because like, there isn’t really anything i can actively think about when i need to be calm? like if i’m NOT calm, thinking (in general, like thinking about anything) doesn’t do me any good. if i’m not calm, i need to be distracted until i can be calm, at least that’s all i know :’)
