I can see what people mean about it being hard to brag about your Vintage Story accomplishments to people who don't know anything about Vintage Story. Anyway. Behold my cheeses.

Oh. Right.
If you live in Pennsylvania then for the love of all that is good in this world, vote to retain the state supreme court. (That's YES, not no.)
Republicans are targeting left-leaning judges in PA because the state courts are getting in the way of all the evil shit they want to do, including eventually rigging the swing state's votes in future senate and presidential elections. They're doing so, in part, by targeting liberal voters with misleading mailers implying that forcing an election to replace these judges is "protecting democracy" and that the judges in question either are or support sexual abusers. They're deliberately making it look like "no" is the left-wing position and hoping people don't do their research.
Don't fall for it.
Give her candy or she'll eat your face.

Okay. Linux people. Windows' bullshit has gotten bad enough that a lot of folks are now looking at us for a less bullshit experience. These are not tech hobbyists or professionals. These are people who need computer do thing now please. They do not know what a snap is or why it's controversial. They may never have used a command line before. They have their own, perfectly valid reasons for setting things up the way they need to for work and life. And they are going to be in the help forums asking questions, including questions that are covered by the documentation, seem like common sense to you, or make no sense at all to you.
So we are going to be polite, and helpful, and suggest better ways of doing things where appropriate but be understanding if those methods aren't adopted, and not tell any of these people that actually they're all doing computers wrong on a fundamental level and should be mauled by live weasels, right?
Right?
Every day people are approaching Yugo Limbo with all the trepidation of a lone and vulnerable young deer (who was, in a past life, personally sued out of existence by the demon ghost of Anne Rice), meekly requesting permission to Do A Fandomly Action, and every day Yugo Limbo is gently reassuring them that they are in fact allowed to play toys. Encouraged, even.
I'm pleased to report that the Great God Grove fandom is starting to really develop their Fucked Up And Grim AUs.
While I don't have much interest in them on a personal level, I appreciate them as a signal of a young fandom's ecosystem health. It's like observing the beginning of secondary succession plants showing up amidst the early grasses on a new island. Soon the pokemon team picks will arrive in flocks and roleswaps will fill the ponds. Nature is beautiful.
