Snail / Slug identification resources
I made this compilation of links and PDFs so that people like me can identify local gastropod species! I will update this list as I find motivation. Feel free to message me or send an ask to request your state specifically, and I’ll do what I can for you!! I hope this is helpful!
I found these in a culvert in Northern California. They look like snails. They’re about 1/4 inch long. I can’t find them on google without jumping through hoops I don’t have the spoons to jump through. Snailblr?
Can anyone help me identify what type if snail this is? I think it may have came in one one of my plants that I bought recently and I can’t seem to find any information about what it might be. It’s a freshwater snail of some sort and it’s fairly light in coloring. It is also incredibly small
Did i ever make a post about the teeny tiny snail i found in our blueberry packet a couple weeks back?! I just moved it from a drinkingglass to a big nutella jar cause I got some moss and thought it might like that to hide in. I'd give it substrat but the cocohusk bricks I got (for future GALs) makes crumbs half the size of the snail, so I figured it'd be easier to keep it without substrat while its this small. I have no clue what kind of snail it is tho, only know its from Spain (as the blueberries were). It isn't super interested in the cuttlefishbone(powder) I give it, but seems excited to explore whenever I change the environment. Anyone know what this friend might be? It's house is 3-4mm long i think. Ik the closeup is blurry but it's the best my camera can do in this light with something so small. I'll try again later with a different camera.
Does anyone know what kind of snail this is? I've never seen them in my tank before, and I haven't added anything new to any of my tanks for quite a while... The only types of snails I've had are the long pointy ones and the not quite round not quite pointy ones that I give my friend for her lizard. I actually think these ones are really cute ☺️
