Ronnie clicked the link sent anonymously. It brought her to a site called AO3, which was apparently a site for sharing writing.
They’d called it a “work of art” but the username, rareshipper153, and the title “His Rock Princess” didn’t give her a lot of hope. Still, she started reading.
It wasn’t too long and it started off innocently enough, in an obviously male point of view. She was wary when she saw her name and recognized herself as the female character. She was lucky enough that it was still third person because it would be really fucking creepy otherwise.
And then it turned into a sex scene. A well-done transition, Ronnie had to admit, it felt like a natural course for the story to take and the detail caused a knot in her stomach and she felt a little warm.
But the author slipped up, intentionally or not, they revealed “his” name. Of course she blushed, who could blame her? The blush was both an angry and embarrassed one. She felt tricked. She almost slammed her laptop shut and shoved it across the room.
Only the fact that it was almost over kept her reading. The only downfall, in her book, was that the sex scene lasted to nearly the end of the story.
Whether she knew it or not, she was his rock princess.
There was a note from the author just below that which lessened Ronnie’s anger.
"I couldn’t find a good way to fit ‘because she rocked his world’ but I hope it was obvious."
She then spoke the first words since she started reading, “What the fuck?” Eyes rolled, “Fucking grey freaks.” She closed the tab and tried not to think about the story again.
((glad to have you back))
