Snakeboard Analysis
Time for some more headcanons, this time covering a bit of how snakeboards work! Now, in case I haven’t covered it already, snakeboards are actually a kind of hover board that are ridden similarly to skateboards. Due to their design, they have more built-in maneuverability.
The way snakeboards actually work is through a light-powered hover device, specifically the device seen located in the hollow of the snakeboard’s bottom, glowing blue, purple, and yellow. That itself is what allows it to hover and contains all the technology that allows it to work. The rest is what allows it to be ridden on and gives it platform.
The shell is made out of a plastic similar to playgrounds, though with a very high level of durability, allowing for great weights to be placed upon it (up to at least 737 pounds) and is set on the hover device on a magnetic tracking that allows the shell to spin. This is the place where cloth handles are usually attached for transportation purposes (Cobra can probably only fit a single finger through these).
Additionally, the board atop the snakeboard has its own magnetic railing that the shell is also set upon, allowing the shell to spin independently of the board. The boards additionally have a thick tire-like rim attached to their sides to prevent damage to the plastic and allow for them to bump off walls.
Snakeboards feature a safety mechanism (the pin seen on the side of the board’s rim), which keeps the boards essentially grounded. Without them, the boards could have the potential to be airborne… though it is extremely dangerous to use them in this manner, to the point of their use being life threatening.
More advanced snakeboards’ hover devices can have basic programming built into them, allowing them to automatically hover back to designated spots or move automatically in a multitude of ways without rider input, though these tend to be very costly.
They tend to come in varying sizes, ranging from smaller ones for one rider to larger versions that can carry two people (these are the ones that can be found in the Snake Park ring). They tend to weigh about 14.25 pounds (6.5 kg), but the larger ones can weight as much as 18 (8.2) or 20 pounds (9.1 kg).
It's your everyday Kid Cobra posing gloveless! Everyone's talking about Twintelle, while I'm just curious if I can be a snakeboarder.
