fav destiny ocs?

Oh, this is a good question. 

Of the ones I’ve created, I’m fond of Io, Mitrin, Shiloh, Tryst and Celos the most. I love all of my babies though-- They each mean something to me in different ways and they’ve each helped me through phases in my life and are still continuing to be outlets when shit gets bleak.  

As for friends OC’s: 

@crownofchelchis‘s Theano Kurtosi has a very high spot on the list. She’s such a well rounded character with such a heartbreaking arc; you feel for her and the shit she’s gone through, but you know in your soul that you would never, ever trust her to have your back. She’s this gorgeous meld of the Light and Dark in every human and then lengths we’ll go to for love, even if that love is toxic. Nurzhan Elim is also very special to me, and i’m fond of Junia, Tova, Sajjan (my vodka aunt), and Nestor as well. Just... really good characters, so much thought put into them. Evie’s writing style never ceases to amaze me-- The pictures she paints, the emotionally-driven narratives and thinkpieces she puts together floor me every time. 

@gildedskeleton‘s Sloane is absolutely, beyond the shadow of a doubt another one of the most intensely heartbreaking characters you’ll ever find. Her journey, regardless of which path you follow her down, is always so raw. She’s incredibly strong and I admire her as much as I’d thank her for punching me in the face. Averi, Bray, and Buddy are others that I’m in love with. Cas is such a great writer and it reflects in her characters. 

@tagyourjakku‘s Vera is my mom and I would die for her but I would also kill anyone who hurt her. I’m also intrigued by Cillian; Pols’s characters have so much depth and even though I don’t know much about them I always feel like I can understand their motivations and what drives them to do the things they do and why they do them. 

@pinstripe-doodles‘s Grier is... just Wow. What a Good Boy. Interesting story from what i’ve caught in tags and in passing, and super cute. 10/10 would smooch and also let him kill me for Science™. Their design for Osiris and also for Toland is also fucking gorgeous. 

@nagunkgunk‘s Meow never fails to bring a smile to my face. Also the pupper guardian!!!! YES!! All around good!!

@snakebunker‘s Warlock, Pallex, makes me feel so many things. So many. \

Honorably mentioning @ir-anuk, whose writing deserves so much more attention and publication, and @themothyards whose lore I take pretty much as canon for the time and love and work put into it. 

All in all, though, I think all Guardians are special in their own right!! Everyone makes something that fits them, and the reasons for that always vary, but the Destiny community is lucky in that it’s so OC-driven and everyone puts so much work into their Guardians and it absolutely shows.

you're a dear for supporting me, it's nice to know I'm not crazy when I see stuff like that.

I feel like it could be taken either way but it's very interesting to think of Ghosts as heavy metal things!

As soon as I see cayde’s boots I open the menu and switch characters. If it says “male” under the name i delete it and start again. It took me eight times.
