She had pushed too hard last time they talked, literally chasing him out of their hide-out. Of course, Derek had come down on her hard for what she'd said and done, once he coaxed it out of her and she knew she had to set it straight. That didn't mean Erica was all that pleased about it, in fact, she downright hated having to strike up a conversation with Jackson, not wanting to seem weak and like she was crawling back to him --which she most certainly wasn't!

"Hey Jackson," she tried, moving in line with him for lunch. The blonde looked him over, from head to toe and then back up again, internally sighing again. She knew how he operated, had seen him do it to a ton of people in the years no one even noticed she was there, and he would leap at the opportunity to show who was better and superior here. Erica was convinced that was her, but to do as her Alpha wanted from her was to lock that part of her away, and so she asked politely, "How are you?"
