Red carpet events are always entertaining; if not for the main event, for the parade of expensive costumes and dresses. Although in later years these youngsters had become more and more negligent in choosing their attires. It’s one thing to choose a lower heel for its comfort, but Adrianna drew the line the moment she’d been approached for conversation by a dweeb wearing sneakers. Goddamn sneakers. It’s either the Japanese culture that she’s not getting, or times are aggressively changing for the worse. 

Swiftly, she sought to leave the premises, gliding past and through the chattering groups with intention of reaching a balcony for a smoke. But somehow, something had her hooked and twirled in place; inertia be dammed, all that momentum had her almost slam herself against this person’s chest, caged in what seemed to be a stiff embrace. True, her breath is a little knocked out of her chest and she’s a breath away from snapping some snide remark back, but the sudden eye contact had Adrianna speechless. Dumbfounded. Utterly taken by surprise. 

“Tine---!” it’s nearly squeaked out, before she bit back unto all that elan in her voice. “---What are you doing here?!”
