            That was about the most positive the diary could be, finding itself back at the place the soul it contained had once called home ( and in some way or another, he’d never known another home, so wouldn’t it always remain such? ) .

                                    It couldn’t be all too positive about the hands it had found itself in.

            Though, he supposed, it could be viewed as an opportunity, couldn’t it? If he played it right, of course. This one was a snake just like him, and Tom would have to be careful.

            Empty pages lay waiting for the boy’s words to sink into------so claws could reach up and drag him in.

       He’d watched as the bloke had been given a blanket and offered a drink, simple courtesies considering that he’d just been pulled out of the ocean out in the middle of nowhere, without another ship or even land in sight ( they hadn’t even reached Cuba yet ) -- but that was the TROUBLING part about all of this. The captain of the Black Pearl had been agitated enough as of late, and this latest bizarre occurrence, in a list of bizarre occurrences which included but was not limited to Will Turner tracking him down to a remote island of cannibals, wasn’t helping matters. He’d managed to keep his mouth shut so far as Gibbs and the rest of his men had administered to their new guest, but after a moment or two Captain Jack Sparrow couldn’t be denied any longer, and so he strode forward.

        ‟ Right, let’s not beat around the bush here mates. ” His smile was more of a grimace, narrowing his eyes strangely at the men stood to each side of him. He then lowered his voice, almost as though he was afraid he’d be overheard -- or, worse still, UNDERSTOOD -- even in the middle of a crowd. ‟ Did he send you? ”

don’t you remember??? she was pure window dressing in the first three movies..... it’s not like she had the biggest and most dramatic arc out of the main trio or actively drove most of the plot forward or anything....
