Finally sitting down to make a San Diego Comic Fest post.
It was fun as usual. I think I made the most sales I ever have this year. My row was all the cool peeps from past years, including my neighbors from last year, Incandescence Comics. I have now drawn Masters of the Universe fan art because Drew snagged a King Hiss figure and how does King Hiss even work? Is he completely made of snakes? Does he have #snakesforlegs????
I got commissioned for 3 creature combinations. The first was a repeat client from the past two years. She asked for a seahorse/crocodile/sea anemone. The second two were from brothers. One brother commissioned me a couple years ago for an eagle/wolf/cobra which I decided to draw in the derpiest fashion. This year he asked for a komodo dragon, porcupine, giraffe. His brother asked for a lynx, falcon, iguana. I also did a sketch in a book for someone that was having the artists draw anything they wanted.
I did not sell one sketchbook at the show. I need to get my act together with regards to selling them online because I know some of you following me are interested. Anyone with experience willing to share the easiest way to go about that?
