Curious, is Aspen a good substrate? I've heard some say it's not healthy for snakes but it's guaranteed 100% better than what I used to use(I used to use bagged sand from the hardware store), the snakes themselves (corn & king) don't mind if anything they bury themselves. Between the sand(which is when I first "got" them)and the Aspen I used to use newspaper & sometimes old clothes. I plan on getting more aspen if my store doesn't have the other bedding (coco fiber, fibre?)

Honestly it varies depending on who you talk to. Some say it’s too dusty, others say it depends on the brand, some say its awful and don’t use it at all lol. Personally, i stick to newspaper or paper towel, as it’s easy to clean and is harmless to the snakes.

Though, I will say it is most definitely better than sand~

Thank you so much for saving that baby and hounding Petco about it. I currently work at a Petco and they were just as bad before I came to work there and raised hell about the animal care. It seems I am CONSTANTLY up my managements butt about the animals. It seems pet stores in general fail to higher people who will have the animals best interest in mind. Please don't let them get away with that. That poor snake should have never been like that in the first place, let alone on the sales floor.

Hello! What would be a good sized (temporary?) tub set up for a 550 gram BP? (If you have a rough gallon/dimension size that'd be wonderful :D)

Here is a great article on good tub etiquette for your bp ^^

Basically you want a tub that’ll fit the size hide(s) your bp will need, along with a water bowl and perhaps a stick or rock for rubbing.

Prolly around 30 qts? I’m going to say? Give or take. That’s about 7 gallons or so.
