Forgotten Cartridge 1
A forgotten cartridge - .338 Norma Magnum
Background:
In 2008, the .338 Norma Magnum was introduced by Sweden cartridge manufacturer - Norma. Then coming into production at next year.
It was originally design as wildcat cartridge for long-range sports shooting by the american sports shooter, Jimmie sloan, with assist with Dave Kiff. It was designed to firing the 19.44g (300gr), 8.59mm (.338 in) Sierra hollow-pointed, boat-tail (HPBT) “MatchKing” projectile from action and magazine with shorter length to handle over 91.44mm (3.60 in) in overall length. The design was purchased by Norma later.
Design notes:
I choose this cartridge to make it into model, since we know there have many types of cartridges' 3D models were made. However, to the best of my knowlegde, for .338 caliber, there is only .338 Lapua Magnum in printable 3D model, none of any .338 Norma Magnum's 3D model was ever made.
The model dimension is according the standard of the C.I.P. (Commission Internationale Permanente pour l'Epreuve des Armes à Feu Portatives; "Permanent International Commission for the Proof of Small Arms"). It have a higher accuracy of its size.
It suitable for collecting, milsim, teaching models , snap caps or ornaments of keychains. You can get it at http://shpws.me/N5E1 if interested.
Meanwhile, we are developing next product, it comming soon!
