Summary: After the werewolf prank, Severus disappears. He’s still at Hogwarts—at least, he thinks he is—and he’s probably still alive, but no one can see or hear him. Except for Lupin. Remus, meanwhile, is avoiding the other Marauders—as well as everyone else—and Snape becomes the sole exception to his self-appointed isolation. As they work together to look for answers about Severus’ condition, the unlikely pair drift toward friendship. But building a relationship of any kind presents a challenge when neither of them is sure Severus exists at all.

My final piece for the @snapebang! This art is for the wonderful @bunny-bopper, of their fic Illusion of Transparency. This is a scene from Chapter 5, so I tried to find the balance of “this is about the chapter but also I can post it without worrying about spoiling the chapter for you”. I also really wanted to do a sorta nod to action comics and things like that so... yep! The last hurrah for the bang. This was such an amazing experience, and I only wish I was able to deliver even better pieces for bunny-bopper bc they definitely deserve an artist who doesn’t run on almost Valve time haha

Anyways, enjoy the chapter and enjoy the art!

Edit: almost forgot, but i also have a version without blood bc initially when I exported the drawing, I had forgotten to add the blood haha

Before Snape had looked at him, drunk and miserable without knowing why, and told him that he could change his future if he wanted. Before he had pulled Snape out of the darkness he’d been determined to drown in. Before the memories. Before he’d looked into Snape’s eyes and watched him die.

Harry didn’t often change his mind, not about people. He’d been accused by Hermione more than once of being stubborn, even prejudiced. And, once upon a time, he’d thought he’d known exactly who Severus Snape was. But that had changed and Harry was no longer that boy anymore, just as Snape could no longer ever be just his hated professor.

“Before,” Harry said again, more finally.

Harry was pretty sure the fact that everyone never thought he’d live past seventeen was at least half the reason becoming an actual adult was so goddamn strange. Severus Snape just wanted to get on with his life now that it was free of controlling old men.

Or, five times Harry flirted with Snape and one time Snape flirted with Harry.

author’s note: my submission for @snapebang​! did i expect this cracky plot bunny to become a 45k monster? no! but i had a blast writing it & it’s become an unexpected favorite of mine.

This is a fanart i did for a fanfiction The Curemaker of Avonlea by @flibbertygigget, as a part of @snapebang.

It is an AU with Severus and characters from Anne of Green Gables series. This fanfic crossover is really cool and i enjoyed drawing this piece very much, so go and read it here!
