Snapper Sunday Lore Share!
Introducing Verisoth, one of the Temple Guards in service to the Monastery of the Children of the Earthshaker. He’s one of several dragons that I’ve not written the Lore down for yet, so Snapper Sunday seems like a good time to show him off and share his Lore.
Verisoth is nicknamed ‘The Viper’ by the rest of the Guards, and for good reason. He’s not angry, or overtly violent, but when he strikes it is suddenly and with little warning. It’s also rumoured (although unconfirmed) that he uses poison on his weaponry. He’s a very closed dragon, revealing little of himself when he socialises. And his smile, though frequent, often never reaches his eyes.
Verisoth and his mate Leijon are not, perhaps, the most natural of residents at a Monastery. They arrived together, with backgrounds shrouded in mystery, and a mean look in their eyes. But the Monastery is a place for new beginnings, where the Earthshaker’s love is shared with all no matter their past. No questions were asked, and so no lies were told, when the pair of them applied to join the Guards. They are good at their work, they help keep the peace, and they abide by the Monastery rules. Privately some of the other Guards think they may be in hiding more than they are starting a new life, but that’s not the sort of subject anyone would really like to bring up with them.
My snops for Snapper Sunday.
