PRESLEY'S POSITION My daughter is very perceptive for a 7 year old and very passionate about her beliefs. I am often amazed at the things that come out of her mouth and sometimes I'm lucky enough to have my phone handy. Since I've started to make such a focused effort on my healthy lifestyle, the example has really shown through to Presley. Not only has she observed my choices, but she has started making decisive ones of her own. So I've decided to name these decisions, "PRESLEY'S POSITION." Today after a birthday party we stopped at @snappysalads to grab a healthy snack. After we chose all the toppings for our salad Presley noticed how small the "water" label is on a standard coke dispenser. She turned to me and relayed such a simple and profound concept. "Mom, if they made the water label as big as the coke label, then more people would choose water." It made me stop and think. How many of our "choices" are purely conditioned by marketing? And if we are so conditioned by marketing, why not change the marketing for our benefit! The world is changed one decision at a time, just like a healthy lifestyle.
