I live right next door to this place... it always seems overwhelming when I walk past it because there’s crowds of people. I waited behind a few people and when the server said it’s my turn, I asked for a menu and said how overwhelmed I felt. She motioned behind her, handed me a menu, and then talked to me about life for a little while — when I expressed interest in some tea, she seated me right away and then recommended this matcha tiramisu cake to pair with it. It made me realize that you really need to slow down to experience things — not just check it off the list and post an Instagram...
