You would think that Rook would know better than to start a conversation before crossing realities, but she hadn’t seen Willow in a while and as usual, she was being too impatient for her own good.

The basement of the firehouse quickly shifted to a more properly looking lab before she continued. “I got some work to do for Willow, so you’re getting a day off.”

Damien spontaneously feels himself get an electric shock. "You were slouching." No he wasn't.

Damien jolts slightly as he feels the shock, letting out a small yelp “shit- fuck! I mean, slouching brings me down closer to your height. Do you want me to be a few extra inches taller?” 

With that he stretched and stood on his tip toes, smirking smugly as he did.

Sissy and the Squip

Sissy Sweetie 26 years of age anxiety out the wazoo.

This was the reason she found out about the pill not paying any mind to the computer part she just thought it was someone being a smartbutt.

"Pah Nonsense and Bullroar computer in a pill It's probably just fancy talk" she said as she took the pill as instructed "Bunch of bloody nonsense" she said waiting

The voice was normal, she expected that. It was a computerized assistant, of course, there’d be a voice. What she didn’t expect was the sudden shock. Which made Vanny cry out as she buckled over the sink, starting to shake before realizing the pain had ended as quickly as it had started, looking up into the mirror and rubbing her forehead.

Ohh, was she gonna cough up blood?... She tasted iron at the back of her throat.

What had it said? Calibration? Oh, must’ve been starting up. Cool. Vanny began to calm down as she realized what had happened. Yeah, she probably should’ve been paying attention when her friend was talking about the startup process.

But then she saw the figure next to her, and Vanny gasped, startled at first before that feeling rolled into confusion. 

What kinda wacky shit?......

Maybe she shouldn’t have eaten those gummy bears Julie gave her.

Vanny blinked, just to make sure that what she was seeing was real. She knew SQUIPs took on a human look, but not like this.

“Oh, uh...”

“....I, imagined you’d be a lot shorter,” she admitted. Well, a lot shorter, and a lot... flatter. She thought it would be like a little hologram, not a whole-ass person. But, life was full of surprises. She then cleared her throat.

“I don’t mind or anything, just, surprised I guess,” she admitted. “But, hey! It’s good to meet you, finally. I could really use your help getting a few things in my life together.” she said, giving the supercomputer’s vessel a once over. As she scratched the back of her head.

💗 (For Willow)

These two had a very rough start, uh?

Willow could have definitely handled the situation better but Rook has to partly be blamed as well for not mentioning before that she had gotten a Squip.

Willow kinda panicked when Squip showed up in Cyberspace. Rook, the closest thing to a sibling she’s ever going to get, has been hanging out with another intelligence and she had no idea. Her first reaction was jealousy, quickly followed for Rook’s safety because let’s face it, AIs rarely remain peaceful and Willow is hardly an exception to the rule.

On the other hand, Willow can go a bit too fast for her own good and thus isn’t great at actually sharing her thoughts in a way that is coherent, so even though she wants more of her kind to hang out with, she has trouble showing her actual intentions because of the way her mind works. The Rook side is friendlier and driven by curiosity, the Willow side is used to fighting for survival and manipulating people into doing her will since nobody is to be truly trusted.

And in Cyberspace, these two sides fight constantly and it’s hard to make sense with such a mess going on in her head.

I think they could still find some common ground if Willow were to realize that Squip really only means to pursue the best for Rook. Willow would appreciate if it could definitely keep an eye on her friend and keep her from doing stupid stuff like trying to recall the memories regarding her creation. Remembering could physically hurt Rook and Willow really doesn’t want to cause her any more pain.
