DESCRIPTION

This is the only other book in the Sniper! series I owned. I was somewhat at the mercy of getting whatever Waldenbooks or B. Dalton's happened to carry at the time, and I was sad they never got around to stocking anything else in this series. I found this one quite exciting since I loved the idea of spying on the Russians. The only thing that turned me off at the time about this book was that your character was Canadian. Yuck.

EXCERPT

You return to your cabin, empty now except for the lingering aroma of spicy oil and cheese, and you sleep as the train rumbles on.

Later, the train stops and for a moment you worry that something has gone wrong. But you look around and in the dull winter glow of late afternoon, you see Hungarian Border Police looking at the train. Before long you hear a knock on your cabin door, and you open it to show the inspector your passport and visa.

"Canadian?" he says, flipping through the passport. His expression is hidden by a bushy beard. "That is some Prime Minister you have," he laughs. "And those neighbors to the south. Hah."
