Rusholme is a brilliant place! I grew up there and went to the same college (I'm guessing, there's only the one after all). I love it, it's vibrancy, it's slight dinginess and how it's rough round the edges and how everything just gels together in such a small place. I do sometimes get disappointed when I move to a new place and it isn't quite as hectic and coming back is always weird because everything changes so often.

Oh, thank you! Yeah, I saw it in the credits for Vanilla Sky and was gobsmacked because I’d only seen Rusholme mentioned once before on TV and that was when it was featured on the BBC weather map. Mint Royale isn’t really my thing but I like that song.

Are you from Manchester yourself, or know it? I’m always surprised when people get the reference.

oh god, i did the same thing! we compromised, really. i occasionally wear pretty skirts and stuff but I get to choose the shoes wish most of the time end up being different type of boots so i'll look army-like anyway :'D
