Warning: Contains polyamory (Cassian Andor x Reader x Bodhi Rook). This is my first time writing this type of relationship.
Summary: You thought that your feelings were abnormal, that you had fallen for both your best friend, the grumpy Rebel spy captain, and the sweet defected Imperial cargo pilot. You are forced to confront the both of them and realize that you’re not alone.
-
The ceremony was in an hour and you have yet to see your favorite cargo pilot. You asked the other pilots and the members of Rogue One, but no one had seen him. The Rebel Alliance was holding a ceremony for the heroes that helped take down the Deathstar and Rogue One was one of them.
“Let’s look for him together,” Cassian offered.
You nodded, splitting up to look for Bodhi around the base. The crew had come back to the base with countless injuries that it almost gave you a heart attack. Cassian was a close friend of yours and as his friend, you should be used to his dangerous missions, especially when he has K2.
When Cassian and Jyn came back from Jedha with Bodhi, Chirrut, and Baze, you felt that while now there were more people to watch Cassian’s back, it gave you more people to worry about. You instantly got along with all of them, ignoring Cassian of keeping your distance. It’s not like he followed his own advice. You know his room code by heart and he knows yours.
Many had mistaken the two of you as a couple, and you had to just laugh it off. You may have thought of the possibility of becoming more than friends, but Cassian was completely dedicated to the Rebellion. Besides, it was possible that Jyn had caught his eye instead.
When you first met Bodhi, you could tell that he was quiet and a bit uncomfortable wearing his Imperial cargo pilot in the middle of a Rebel base. You introduced yourself and explained how things were on the base. There was a fire in him that wanted to make a difference, the same type of fire found in Rebels. You told him that he’d fit right in. He was doubtful, but thanked you anyways. The two of you ended up being very close, talking about everything the moment you see each other, working on the ship and trading mission stories.
You rounded the corner near the docking area when you spotted them. Your boys. Cassian was holding Bodhi’s face between his hands, whispering something to him while Bodhi nodded. Cassians’ thumb wiped a tear away and said something again, but more firmly.
You felt like you were intruding in a private moment, so you stepped back and inadvertently hitting a stack of crates. You winced and let out an exasperated sigh. Of course this would happen to you. First your two crushes were actually together and then you get caught watching them.
“(Y/n)?” Cassian called out, pulling away from Bodhi and started towards you.
“Sorry, I was just… I was looking for Bodhi and obviously you found him and I’m just going to go,” you stumbled, pointing over your shoulder.
“Wait,” Bodhi said, wiping his face and joined the two of you, “I think we should tell her, Cassian.”
“Tell me what?”
They exchanged a look, then turned to you. Bodhi took a deep breath, almost shaking. Cassian grabbed his hand and squeezed it as a silent show of support.
“You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to-”
“I think I love you!” Bodhi said quickly. Your eyes widened while Cassian nodded encouragingly. “I think I love you, but I also love Cassian.” That made you pause, trying to process what he was saying. “It just happened. You were really kind and sweet when we met and we got along so well and I was starting to feel like I could belong here. But then I saw you with Cassian and thought that you were together or at least liked each other and I didn’t want to get in between that. Then I was sent to missions with Rogue One in order to get the Deathstar plans and I started to get to know Cassian and... “
“I said I felt the same way,” Cassian said, “I was starting to… care for Bodhi in the same way that I’ve cared for you for a very long time and was too scared to admit it.”
You opened and closed your mouth, wrapping your head around this information. “So…,” you said, trying to summarize, “Bodhi apparently loved me, but he also loves you. And you… care about me and Bodhi equally.”
“Yes, I wanted to talk about it after everything that’s been going on, but I panicked the closer the ceremony got and I just ended up telling Cassian when he found me,” Bodhi said. “I don’t want to ruin everything if you don’t feel the same, but-”
“I thought I was the only one that felt like this,” you said softly, feeling a weight fall off your shoulders as you looked at them, “I’ve heard that these kinds of things happened, but I didn’t know that it would happen to me. I thought I was being needy and selfish for wanting both of you.”
Bodhi let out a sigh of relief, stepping forward to pull you in for a hug. You immediately hugged back, smiling at Cassian over his shoulder. He smiled, his dimples showing, as he wrapped his arms around the both of you, like three puzzle pieces fitting perfectly together.
“There you three are,” K2 scolded, walking up to the three of you, “the ceremony is starting soon and Jyn told me to come and get you. They can’t celebrate the heroes when some of the heroes are hugging it out behind a ship.”
You broke away from your boys and smiled. “He’s right. Lets go get your medals, boys,” you teased, walking ahead and holding both your hands out for them to take.
“The medals aren’t necessary,” Cassian grumbled, grabbing your left hand.
“That’s very generous of them, though,” Bodhi said shyly, grabbing your right hand.
K2 shook his robotic head and sighed. “Took them long enough. Humans are so weird.”
