He wonders, briefly, if he’s touched a nerve in her. But he resigns himself to not asking too many questions now — he can’t get too under her skin just yet. Gaining her trust should be his number one priority at this point, but yet as he stares at her and how she tries to sit up as straight as she can to make herself appear taller than she actually is makes him wonder just how tough she really is in the end.
He’d only heard rumors that she was ruthless but dealing with her now and meeting her — she’s hardly a threat in his eyes. She is merely a child in an adults body trying to gain the approval of a man who appeared to barely even care about her. Her clothes, while they look ironed so stiffly, are baggy on her scrawny figure, her hair is cropped badly (as though she had done it herself without a mirror) and the hat to go with the uniform barely stays on her hair and she’s frequently trying to fix it.
They’re, for sure, in for a treat and Aston isn’t exactly excited about it.
I’m editing even though I’m not done with Altar -- I’m just trying to fix up minor issues from part one so stuff in part two makes sense, and I keep getting distracted.
Aleks is babey tbh. Her diet consists of coffee. And that's it.
