Do you think that Armin’s outburst at Mikasa was rude, or needed? I see a lot of tension on whether or not his “think for yourself” line was too much. I personally think it was needed.
*steps recklessly into what is most likely a fandom landmine*
I mean, officially it’s rude. Mikasa was right to look to Armin for direction because that’s his role. Like I said in my last ask, he’s been the one calling the shots, telling others what to do, and urging faith in Eren since the return from Liberio. Everyone’s been looking to him because he’s been stepping up and taking the lead. Now he’s freaking out because he got everything wrong and he’s taking his frustrations out on Mikasa. This is all on Armin. Mikasa is absolutely correct to ask Armin what to do next, and to assume “next” has something to do with the absolute hell Eren is wreaking on the world.
So while Mikasa is the one apologizing, this isn’t her fault. And Armin knows it. She’s the one due the apology. Armin should be thinking about Eren. He should be coming up with a plan that isn’t “chase after Connie”, as if that’s the biggest threat they are facing when Floch is playing Caligula a few doors away.
Mikasa is one of the characters keeping her head right now. She’s asking the right questions and focusing on the right things. She deserves nothing but praise for that.
While Armin’s meltdown is perfectly understandable, he’s in the clear wrong. He’s the one running away from the real problems right now. I said this in a previous ask too - my hope is that he runs into Hange and Magath so the leadership pressure is off of him. Being with experienced leaders will allow time for his .exe to restart so he can go back to what he’s good at, coming up with solid plans and ideas.

• Hange and Piek to have a little best girls mastermind session where they realise they’ve found their intellectual soul mate.
• Zeke and Levi to see each other alive, and it be awkward as fuck. Like, “oh - shit. I thought you were ... Nope, nope. Me either.”
• Levisquad 3.0 in any shape or form. Bonus points if it includes Warriors/Marleyans.
• To find out what the fuck Hange and Onyankopon were up too twelve-million chapters ago.
