do you know all 12 districts names in AOT? & did Isayama ever say how he came up with these District names?
Nine districts have been identified in the manga, and a 10th in the “Harsh Mistress” spinoff series. See this post for details. The only district name that seems intentional thus far is Orvud, which means “Orphan” in Estonian. It’s the district where Historia became a literal orphan when she killed her father, Rod Reiss.
Annie is being held underground in District Utopia. I’m side eyeing that one. When the story returns to her, we’ll see if the name is intentional. And, of course, the Island is “Paradis”. There’s no mistaking the meaning of that.
