I know right ? It's like they forget all those times he is the one who goes and grabs Misha everywhere ^^" or kisses him, rubs against him, gives him intimate gifts and so and so. Morons.

It's not because he is embarassed to talk about something - and the guy can be embarassed like hell over the smallest things, like when he shut down for hours after he accidentally left the Impala's keys in the trunk - that he wouldn't shoot a destiel scene. He is a professinal AND a big guy who can defend himself (doesn't need strangers to defend him pretty sure) and as long as they keep the integrity of his character he'll do it. He's the first one to say that Cas is family to Dean and that he has even his own special place - not a friend/brother in arm like Benny - so when the time comes he won't freak out. Because there is nothing to freak out about, at this point it's normal evolution of a relationship come on.
