Most. Gracious. Running. Ever.
Joe did mega-zoomies today - he just got up suddenly and did it of his own accord, which is what greyhounds are supposed to do and something he’s only recently started doing! He shot round the garden and then got hold of his kong ball and dashed about with that for a while, so fast - this video is from the very tail end of it all! I’m so happy to see him with so much energy after being so lacklustre and tired just a few months back. He started taking his B12 on 1st Feb, and I believe it takes dogs about three months to fully replace red blood cells (similar to us), so I think he must be feeling like a new dog. I’ve also started giving him very small amounts of kelp powder which is full of iodine (so a thyroid helper) and some threadbare patches at the sides of his hips have started filling in now.
I gift you a stack of gifs from this morn
Do other breeds of dog do this cheek puffing thing, or is it another weird greyhound trait? Joe does it a lot when he’s happy about something (food, walk, tummy rubs) but also in his sleep sometimes.
So handsome!
