you know you’re a dog nerd when you inadvertently guess the city someone lives in over 4000 miles away based on the dog breed they own

#it was edmonton canada based on giant schnauzer #parallels with the time I said out loud ‘wow that’s a silken windhound they’re super uncommon in this country’#and the owner stopped dead in the street because someone actually knew the breed for once #then two weeks later in a city on the other side of the country i bizarrely met another one #I mentioned to the owner how crazy it was since I’d just met one called __ in __city and she said #‘that’s my dog’s brother’#splendid #delete later #ramblings

Arthur (2019-2022)

Arthur is gone. I have waited more than a year hoping that I would find the words to explain, but that time never came. There is no peace to be found. I’m heartbroken, still. Arthur was a blessing and a teacher, my most longed-for love and my greatest pride. He was all I wanted.
