Same lmao, I think KBTBB really tests the limits of how far they can go with stuff like that (I’m looking at you, A Flaming Christmas substory)And while I don’t condone cheating either, jfc they really make the guys thirsty for MC lmao

I'm having trouble picking an otome game to buy from the steam sale. What are you opinions on Nameless, Nightshade, and the Men of Yoshiwara

Nameless is very good, but it takes… a long time to get to the meat of the story. Like Dandelion. I’ve actually tried to get into both of those, but I have adhd and it’s so hard to stick with them. I’ve heard so many good things though, and if you like the other Cheritz titles it’ll be worth the money. Great writing. EDIT: I haven’t played enough of Nameless, it’s not a stat-raiser haha. I should play it again >_>

Nightshade, oh my god, only get into this one if you are okay with a lot of pain. It’s a really well written game with beautiful art but oh my god, you suffer no matter what ending you get, the bad endings just rub salt in the wounds.

Both of the Yoshiwara games are good, but they suffer from the same problems the rest of dozengaka labs games do: sort of bad resolution, occasional weirdness with the translation, and while the ios/android versions of their games have live2d moving sprites, the steam versions DO NOT. I’m kinda disappointed in that and almost wish I’d just bought the android versions instead orz. But steam is cheaper, especially on sale.

That said, I still like the characters and stories.

If you have to pick one out of all the ones you listed, I’d say Nightshade, just because I personally am having a wild ride with it right now. You’ll suffer, but you’ll enjoy it. Sort of. Maybe it’s just the masochist in me. orz

instagram has the function to mute stories and posts. you gotta click on the 3 dots on someone’s post on your feed

idk maybe it’s in an update my phone hasn’t gotten yet, i only have the option to mute someone entirely, or to block them from seeing my story, but not to mute their story, frustratingly

hopefully that’s an update soon bc i like stories for like, 5% of the people i follow, and the rest it’s stuff i just kind of don’t care about and can’t be bothered to watch? at this point my feed has gotten cluttered enough that i think i need to just do a clean-out of who i follow and get rid of the stuff i don’t care about, tbh

i totally get that feeling. i wanna replay some of those PC otome games (like nameless) but they are just sooooo long. you can’t just play one route. you HAVE to do all of them to get the full Experience ™.

Yeah... iirc ozmafia is one of those that lets you go back to individual chapters and replay from there, but it’s not really the same.

I haven’t actually finished nameless yet, that and dandelion, and I keep kicking myself because I know they’re really good >_<
