I really shouted with joy (internally, since I was travelling outside when I saw the post) because I had been in an unlucky streak recently in irl shenanigans and in Morimens as well (lost so much pity and rolls in the Caro Non-paid Limited banner to Sorel, multiple times...) so it really made my whole december as well as it felt like an early Christmas gift for me 🥰

Have you seen the new WoD? I actually saw the Christmas Salvador WoD before the news so I was still reeling in from being so giddy about seeing new art of Salvador being festive with cookie versions of the kid awakeners (sans Ogier 🥀)

Double knit is such a good time! I've been working on a scarf for...a few years lmao

it’s so fun ! i taught myself a few months ago on some swatches but finally had the motivation to pick up an actual project (corvus scarf on ravelry if anyone is interested), and i’m really enjoying it a lot more than i thought i would?? it’s hard to tell how much you’ll actually like something on a swatch vs an actual project, and i tend to do better w a big project than a small one or a swatch, it turns out, even if it takes me months to actually decide to dedicate myself to a project 

it’s fairly slow going bc i haven’t sat down and dedicated a ton of time every day to it, so i’m only ehhhhh in the range of 1/3 of the way through despite starting it about two weeks ago, but it’s actually really nice to have a big project to work a bit on each day and to know that’s what i have to work on and not have to scramble looking for little projects that i’m not that excited about to entertain me

i’m also a thrower and not a picker so i don’t hold the yarn in two hands and  instead do a lot of picking it up and putting it down, which just makes the whole process take a lot longer than it might for other people, but this works for me and my brain truly Cannot process picking (i’ve tried!! i really have!! i Don’t get it) so it’s not too much of a bother tbh

ahaha yeah i made a post a few days ago when i changed my icon because i figured people would be confused, this is the first time in six (6) years that i’ve changed it so you’re spot on with that!! and it keeps throwing me off, too, so you’re not alone!! 

i’m glad people like it, i was ready for a change tbh but i also had to consult one of my friends before i did it like “oh god am i changing my #brand? will everyone be confused??” but ultimately, i think i’m happy with it!! (also thanks for sticking around for so long, my tastes have changed a lot since then!) (although let’s be honest, les mis holds a special place in my heart and will for literally the rest of my life)

Idk how you feel about sci-fi, but I'd highly recommend the Binti series by Nnedi Okorafor!Her Akata Witch series is also amazing, it's very much a fantasy coming of age kind of story, although I haven't listened to that series as audiobooks.

mmmmmmm maybe not talents but things about myself that i like? if i put my mind to something i’ll make it happen, i’m a loyal friend unless you really cross me, i’m a decent writer, and if something isn’t worth my time i don’t bother finishing it because i value my time more (tv shows, books, etc.)

for being a lit major, i’ve liked remarkably few things that i’ve read, but getting to read all of les mis back in high school was a fun one

everywhere? notebooks for class, laptop for fiction/texts/emails/etc., notes app for day-to-day life notes, etc.
