Two #SnoozingCats

These #kittens were settling in well in the Section 14, PJ parking lot. With well stocked cat food and attention from parking attendants, they sure fit in comfortably. Only down to 2 cats now. One of the siblings seemed to have parted ways, as well as were a couple more. Leaving these two in bliss! (at Section 14, PJ)

Tony and Sharon are not the type of close that means they always visit on holidays or live out of one anthers pockets. Rather they are the kind of close that draws together when they need something familiar, comforting. It’s a thread of reassurance that ties them together.

Most time they spend apart, sure they’re both doing fine. But both keeping discrete attention for that to change. Tony knows Sharon is a capable agent and doesn’t doubt her skills, but he worries about the girl who was so driven to succeed. Sharon knows Tony’s a grown man who won’t take help for being the stubborn mule that he is, but she has to try and make sure he looks after himself. Or someone else does. 

Sharon gets birthday cards every year from him. Gets post cards from all sorts of places too. She’s gotten them since she was little and she has her favorites saved somewhere. Her favorites tend to be the ones Tony writes notes in, personal little things to her. Sometimes with bits of memories from her childhood or little anecdotes she never heard before. But the best is the congratulations card he sent her when she made agent. There is no virtual novel of cramped writing, just the simple declaration of pride. 

Sharon gets Tony stupid little things when she can. Mostly in the name of tinkets from foreign countries. Since Iron Man it’s any type of merchandise she can find for him. The point of the little odds and ends was to make Tony laugh. She still sees them scattered around the penthouse, in his office too once upon a time at SI.

When big things happen they tend to find each other. 

Tony’s kidnapping had brought Sharon to Tony’s door two months after his return when she’d come back from her overseas assignment. They hadn’t talked much right away, Sharon had come in with a take out bag on one arm and a stack of DVDs. They worked their way through the Star Wars original trilogy and the Chinese food. By the time Han Solo appeared on screen they were talking.

After Sharon lost one of the newest agents in her care Tony had shown up at her apartment with ice cream and Skyfall for them to poke fun at. Tony never did seem to mind being the only one to point out the gaping flaws that night. Or minded when Sharon ended up laying across his lap.

The palladium poisoning had been rough on them all. Sharon hadn’t minded Rhodey and Pepper being around for their movie marathon. All of them squished together and watching their way through the Die Hard series with all kinds of commentary. Tony hadn’t apologized in words but he also hadn’t tried to push any of them away from taking the reassurances they needed.

After SHIELD fell Sharon was hard on herself. Tony made her a special shooting drill for the range he had. Made her a few programs with very mild learning AI to adjust to her to force her to adapt in the moment. It frustrated her at first but Tony had just rolled his eyes and said she wasn’t a quitter. Somehow that made it a little better, knowing Tony had confidence in her like that.

After Ultron, Tony was so hesitant to build it was jarring. So Sharon had demanded Tony make her a better set of field gear because she found her current issued ones lacking. She didn’t demand things like a spoiled princess. Tony didn't say anything as he sat himself down and worked on the body armor first. But he had a shit eating grin on his face when he handed over the white tactical suit. Sharon figured he earned it when it turned out the surface had camouflage capabilities that adjusted to surroundings. Plus she looked good in white.

So while most people were surprised Sharon and Tony even knew one another, it was fine.
