The engine bay of project 71 is super gross so the first step is a full deep clean on the whole machine head to tail. I have a rebuilt fuel pump on the shelf with carbs and new hose. But because of the lack of compresson on one of the cylinders I’ll need to address that before a start. So let’s do the easy stuff as that always makes the project feel “moving”.

After a good cleaning I took off the secondary clutch and sanded it then painted. The internals looked good so they were greased and reinstalled. The plastic shoes are low so I’ll have to make new ones but the ones on it now should work to see the project out the door.
