His body was aching, and he had no idea why he woke up in the sewers. He had to dig his way out of the cistern he woke up in, and then slosh through sewage water before he finally could hear birds in the distance. It wasn’t like he knew where he was going, but Eddie had always had a good sense of direction. He seemed to know where he was going, and when he spotted the daylight leading out to what looked like some wooded area, he was relieved.
Eddie practically tripped over his feet as he exited the sewer drain, landing on his knees in the small creek. He knew this area. The Barrens, back in Derry. He grew up in Derry, and he was down here often.. but last he remembered he was back at home in New York. So.. what the hell?
The first urge he had to drink the water he was in was quickly gone because he had literally just come out of the sewers that this water was connected to so.. that would wait.
Brown eyes looked up and he spotted someone else. He wasn’t entirely sure why he felt like he needed to be as not intimidating as possible, so he didn’t move from where he practically sat in the water. “What day is it?” he called out.
