How come an artist is so secret of their work? :o My boyfriend (future husband too xD) is a really really good artist (or so I've heard) but I still can't convince him to show me his stuff. >:( It seems like that with all artists.
making art/writing a story/etc is like giving birth
it's messy and bloody and filled with pain/not-so-manly crying
but when you see your finished product, it all feels worth it in the end
HOWEVAH... even though your baby may be beautiful to you, there's always a chance it just looks like a wrinkled nasty mcnasterton to everyone else
I don't even know where I'm going with this...
but it basically all boils down to insecurity?
Like I literally stick anything I do into my drafts
and I have yet to work up the courage to post any of this stuff because I can't convince myself that it's "good enough" to post or continue working on... and I dont even like most of the stuff I DO end up posting
