been jamming this hus mozzy album lately, from 2013 iirc–sgood stuff!! hus himself is a little rough around the edges, seems like he’s getting tripped up on the beat sometimes (“i had to finesse the cheese” and “just to get paid” on the above for example) but he’s got something–a momentum maybe?? i mean he moves confidently despite not gracefully–“mozzy is the motive” showcases the appeal well–and also: some great beats!!! the above probly my favorite (when regular mozzy hits it — aaah ) but aforementioned “motive” and the floaty glistenings of “hell gang ruler” are pretty ace too. further along that line, this one (from an album he released this year which i haven’t heard the rest of yet) has a really dope atmospheric beat, tho unfortunately hus sounds–perhaps technically tighter, but rather lacking that something which i heard in him before, buuut i like snubbz here, that burntout throatdrawl, and the distant-sounding mix on his voice rly underscores it perfectly
it was he actually who led me to that track, as yesterday his robotish flow on mozzys “last night” caught my ear and this morning i was impressed off guard by his verse on “doing this forever” (a song which i already loved for mozzy and the beat–how did i miss that??). is anyone more familiar w him? if so: pls send me yr finest snubbz tracks, i will be long in yr gratitude
