cowboy music is underrated
It was rare for the Crux to ever go north of Dragonspine, but not unheard of. If one was to walk around Windrise they’d find the famous Alcor, flagship of Captain Beidou’s crew, off the shoreline. The occupants of said ship were currently celebrating a victory at the Angel’s Share… well most of them were. Kazuha was currently slumped at one of the tables.
“You good, kid?” Beidou asked, giving him a hearty pat on the back.
“…yeah” he’s gonna need a chance to get out of here soon, even if he did manage to tell someone he needed the bathroom, the queue was far too long. He’d never be able to hold it. “Mondstadt wine… is just… a lot stronger than the usual beer” he wouldn’t say he was drunk, but definitely approaching.
“That dawn winery stuff really kicking yer ass ain’t it, Kazuha!” Juza yelled over the crowd.
“A little bit” he laughed, but a sharp pain in his abdomen stopped him. “Sorry I…” he stood “I think I’m done for the night. I’m gonna go back to the ship” he left the tavern, eyes from the corner watched him with concern. The figure followed behind him.
‘I had way too much to drink’ the ronin thought as he paced to the front gate.
“Are you okay, sir?” A Knight asked as he walked by.
“Huh? Oh… yeah. Sorry just a little tipsy”
“Understood! Be safe! If you need anything don’t hesitate to ask the Knights of Favonius!”
“…thanks”
Windrise wasn’t that far, barely a 20 minute walk, but it was made exponentially harder when your bladder was ready to explode.
The tavern goer from before approached him, hoping to offer assistance.
“Excuse me-“
Kazuha jumped, and a jet of urine dampened his pants. Turning to the person he saw a young man in a green cape and shorts, with two braids framing his face.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you, I’m Venti” he introduced himself “I noticed you’re in a bit of a predicament”
“W-what do you mean?” To whomever first said ‘there are no stupid questions,’ you’re wrong. Because he was clearly using every muscle in his body not to piss himself, thighs clenched together, hands balled in such tight fists his knuckles were white.
“Well you seem like you really need to go to the bathroom”
“A-and?” His face was beet red.
“Well I’ve been in the same situation before, and maybe I can help. Where is it you’re headed?”
“T-the ship to the east”
“Aw man that’s far, do you think you can make it?”
“…yes” no. Of course he can’t, but he’s not about to admit that.
“Okay let’s get you back there quickly”
It didn’t matter how fast they walked, it still led to Kazuha gasping, stopping in his tracks as he forced both hands between his legs.
“I-I-I can’t hold it!” It’s not the first time, and it wouldn’t be the last, but once again Kazuha was standing mortified as he peed himself. He wanted to cry, he wanted to crawl into a ditch and never wake up, he wanted Beidou to come tell him it’s alright, and that everything will be okay.
“Hey hey don’t cry” Venti said to him “it’s just an accident”
“But-“
“I’m serious. Is there anyone on the ship right now?”
“M-miss Furong should still be there”
“Okay how about this, er… what’s your name?”
“It’s… Kazuha”
“Okay Kazuha, we’re both gonna jump in the water, and then if she asks what happened you’re gonna say you tried to stop me from falling in the water but be both fell anyway. How’s that?”
“That… sounds fine” he smiled.
“Let’s go! It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a pirate ship up close”
