19. A book, album, or movie that changed your life.
Oh man. This is a tough one. There's been a few.
A book would be Playing with Fire by Thereon Fleury. After I read it I went into a tailspin but I remember thinking, this guy would believe me... I'm thinking of reading it again. But I've also got his second book Conversations with a Rattlesnake. I should read it.
An Album that changed my life. Music has been such a huge part of my life. And I often forget how much. Lots of people claim to be music lovers and probably know more about artists and lyrics and bands than I do but the difference is that I try to allow music to change me. And that's powerful. Because of this it's hard to really pick an album that changed my life essentially because a large portion of them were worship bands and I am not the kind of person to talk about spirituality because, well because I am sort of private and in the middle of a crisis of faith and because I have such mixed beliefs. Plus I believe faith, or spiritual stuff is personal and private and I have no beliefs that one is better or right over another. So if there is an album out there that changed my life it's any album by Hillsong United. I love them even if I don't see eye to eye on everything. I love their music and their voices. They've pulled me out of some deep and deadly depressions. If you'd like a non-religious one I would say Alanis Morissette Jagged Little Pill was huge for me. I felt so much kinship with her music in this album.
A movie would be a tough one. We are talking changed my life. Star Wars. I've met so many amazing people because of Star Wars. If it wasn't for Star Wars I wouldn't have gamed or dated a guy who introduced me to others like him. And then joined my club and made some seriously awesome friends.
So behind.. oh dear.
30 Days of Weight Loss Challenge
Day 5: Why do you really want to lose weight? Are you doing it for you?
I want to lose weight cause I KNOW I can be better, fitter, look nicer, and that's what I want. I'm doing it for myself but at the same time I'm sick of being the "bigger" one in my friend group, and I just want to feel better about myself, so I don't constantly feel down about how I look. It does upset be a lot and I wish it didn't and apart from having a major confidence boost, out of no where - this is the only way to improve it.
