White-winged Fairywren (Malurus leucopterus)

Conservation Status- Least Concern

Habitat- Australia

Size (Weight/Length)- 10 g; 13 cm

Diet- Insects

Cool Facts- The itty-bitty white-winged fairywren comes straight out of Cinderella. These little wren species have some of the most complex flock dynamics in the bird kingdom. The white-winged fairywren only lives in groups of 4 but each bird has a job. When one bird is nesting, a second and often non-related wren, will aide in raising the chick. They are highly affectionate and will groom each other for long durations. Male white-winged fairywrens will present their mate with a flower petal and then bow to the female to show off his feathers.

Rating- 11/10 (Blue animals are seriously so cool.)

Animtober day 15: Serenity

Here is the little animation i’ve been working on for Inktober! It’s animated on TVpaint then inked traditionally. ;) I tried to step away from illustrations a bit. I have other ink-related projects but I doubt I will be able to finish them soon!
