ehh to be honest my bet is that the end of the prophecy says they’ll have to seal the dark fountains for good?

Had a bit of a thought and it has now gripped me--mild spoilers for the game Date Everything so keep that in mind!
I haven't gotten around to the Realization portion of the game yet so I don't really know what the mechanics for it are. However, after reading some fics involving post-Realization scenarios, an idea about it came to me:
What if one of the factors for bringing these objects to life is for the player to sacrifice portions of their own life to do so? Break off parts of their humanity so these objects could experience it for themselves?
You could interpret it in a lot of ways--sacrificing emotions, sanity, literal lifespan--either way, the player would have to sacrifice their life in some form so the Dateables could have one of their own.
Maybe it's something that not even Skylar was aware of, she's only a prototype after all, and she's not all-knowing. So maybe it's only after everyone is gone do the full ramifications of Realization hit the player, and by the time anyone realizes something's wrong (no communication for months, abnormal behaviour when they do communicate, stuff like that), it's already too late. There's nothing left of the player now, except the pieces that now live in the objects-turned-human.
Likely the last things I’ll make for little man before he arrives, but very happy with how these came out actually
