Whoops please ignore that. How do you think FF fans would have reacted if Nomura dared to create crossover pairings like Aerith/Leon or Tidus/Selphie in Kingdom Hearts? Characters are scattered all over so it's interesting to think about the different people they are and who'd they end up with if they're not with their "One True Love".
Do not speak the words. This blog is a ‘True Love’ free zone. There is no ‘true’, no ‘false’, no dichotomies. There is only love of different nonexclusive categories.
But, idk, other than the ‘True Love’ fans, I feel like people might take it well? We already said something about the Cloud/Squall following in KH. I’m not familiar with the Dissidia games, but I know there were several crossover ships that gained popularity from it - here’s some Bartz/Terra doujin and I know I’ve seen others. In terms of KH, I don’t have anything published, but I have something with Selphie/Wakka in one of my drafts somewhere. Both Aerith/Leon and Selphie/Tidus seem like they could be cute. I can’t see a reason why someone out there couldn’t make a convincing crossover romance work. The real problem is we know who that someone is. And Nomura=Moffat=CLAMP and he cannot be trusted to not eventually ruin everything he touches. I’m not sure I’d trust him to entirely sell me on a character romance of any type at this point.
