TINA! ❤️‍🔥

Another great icon has left the building. Tina Turner has died. 😢

I love her so much. She was such an icon, such a powerhouse. What a tremendous loss, but also what joy she brought the world. There will never be another Tina.

Her vocal skill, her incredible talent as a performer, her beauty and power as a woman. She changed everything.

And her influence was felt socially and culturally, not just musically. She turned the traditional misogynistic concept of femininity and female sexuality on its head, embodying it as a source of power. She inspired generations of musicians and singers. She inspired generations of drag queens and queer performers*.

She was so courageous and generous with her own personal experiences, sharing her story of domestic abuse publicly at a time when such things were never spoken about. She gave hope and strength to so many people, not just through her story but also through the music that came out of her experiences.

She faced immense adversity in her life, but fought back hard and took herself to the top. She is such an inspiration.

Seriously debated getting tix for Jack’s show in NC as the date means I don’t need additional time off work over Easter

I’m in the UK.

Realistically, I can’t justify £800 ($1,100) for the flight so I managed to sit on my hands when they went on sale.  But it’s eating me. It will eat me for the next month.  I’ll donate the ticket cost to the charity instead.

Congrats to all those who got tickets.  I am genuinely happy for you.  You’re going to have SUCH an amazing experience.

My boyfriend doesn't always like the same music as me ( a lot of the time tbh) and for once we were meant to be going to see a band we both like and I was super excited !! And then today found out it's sold out before we could've get tickets. Feeling shitty 😞😞
