being back in dubai was as exhilarating as it was exhausting. the plane trip alone was enough to make her want to curl up in her bed, let alone the mindless insincere condolences she seemed to follow her wherever she went. she’d finally collapsed onto her bed, only pausing to reacquaint herself with her apartment, when she heard someone knocking at the door. after wrapping a robe around her body, she padded downstairs to answer the door, internally berating herself for sending her staff off to their own apartments. she swung the door open, half shielding herself with it considering what she wore, “yes ?”
