If i had a penny for every time I've seen a character cursed to be a pegasus for whatever reason by the villain, I'd have two pennies, which isn't a lot, but it's strange that it's happened twice.
They even both have a bell! (for different reasons but whatever)
Saw that RWS is making a Kickstarter for a Postal comic. I left a comment saying how cool it would be if we could get Dude's backstory and how he came to be the Postal Dude. Mike J replied to me saying that isn't what the comic will be about.

you know how we often talk about merlin and his love and how it changed things? how his affections for arthur changed his decision making, influenced his sense for right and wrong, his sense of duty versus devotion? yeah, that's all well and good, but i don't think we talk about arthur's side of it enough. he, too, got twisted up in his affections. s1 arthur and s4/5 arthur were different for many reasons, but one that particularly strikes you is his ease when asking merlin for his opinions. yeah, he still makes jokes and pokes fun at merlin for his ability to see (know) things the others don't, but he begins asking merlin more and more for his views, thoughts, opinions. he doesn't shy away and when arthur asks directly, he doesn't disregard the answers he's given - he often takes them as gospel. on the surface level it's nice, the trust and belief in each other, but it's their fatal flaw, too. and as with everything, it's reflected in each other. merlin's inability to be objective in his decisions and arthur's inability to stand alone in his decisions.

Blessed Barry au On his wellness retreat for some reason Barry realizes that Chester Bless is a shady man and whatever his using his money for is also extremely dubious BUT he's the first person ever to tell him that Yes, what happened in Bright Falls happened for real, and even tells him names and things he never brought up to Anyone, and finally tells him that he Is looking for a way to get to The Dark Place (might not be entirely a lie, after all, his whole deal is to alter everyday objects, and who knows what else in ctrl:r). So, knowing that his best friend is out there in the Torture Dimension and he can do NOTHING about it, Barry keeps funding and also helping the Blessed Org despite its crimes for the sliver of hope of saving Alan 😔 in my mind blessed Barry 🤝 bright presence Alice bc they'd do Anything to bring their guy back (also, here's a lil drabble I've written in this verse)
Barry Bless au ☝ Extreme version of me saying Barry and Paul have a lot of things in common. Fuck it. What if Chester Bless IS Barry from the future/alt dimension and the entirety of the Blessed Org IS a longterm plan to get Alan out of the dark place?
Tim/Barry fic For something completely different :3 When I write Barry I write him with flavors of internalized homophobia, only coming to terms with his own bisexuality after Alan dies 😔 this fic, set in 2014 when he goes back to bright falls to build the Valhalla Nursing Home, is the turning point of that n_n (ive got more to say about this crackship but basically? Trust me. Tim would be a good influence on him n_n)
Fbc!Barry au my friend @sluiba au! what if Barry starts to remember like Alice did, but because he's not really an artist like she is he can't try to save him from the inside of the lake, so he infiltrates on the FBC to try to know what really happened and how can he help from the outside ;_; (I Have written a Barry & Jesse fic on this verse 😌)
Head of communications!Barry au TECHNICALLY a Director!Alan au but I don't really care about that bit lmfao. Basically Trench shoots himself before the hiss invasion and Alan (who in this au didn't cash in with noir bestsellers but a more niche series of books about a certain director of a strange facility who loses his daughter and wife and also starts going insane for events in his past) gets the gun and when he realizes that he's gotta actually like... Direct People he phones Barry (outside the building) and tells him to come work w/ him. He's a nepotism hire 1000% and at first people at the fbc don't really like him but hey, he IS good at his job (and he's certainly more amicable than fucking.. Tomasi 🙄)
Bad end Head of communications!Barry au/fic With Alan being mostly consumed by the Dark Presence whereas Alice mostly gave herself to the Bright Presence, the fbc has their physical vessels enclosed in the Oldest House. Here Barry acts as a direct benefactor to the fbc using the money from the movies to fund the research proyect that deals with them. And is also working there to be close to them ;_;
Zane/Barry fic Zane needs a producer for his film so he joinks Barry into the Oceanview Hotel. Part analysis of the things they have in common part shameless smut, part Barry having a weird dreamlike experience with a charming man that feels so familiar and yet so unlike anything else, before sitting down to watch the fruits of his labor and have his best friend be evoked over and over again in what it looks like a snuff film?? Before waking up.
Nightmare Threesome fic hehe this is an oldie but a goodie. SO if nightless night is a movie we have to assume that Tom the poet also had "a movie" if only to speak this fake background into existence, right? Here Zane joinks Barry AND Alice to be Emil and Barbara, thr film editor and main actress, who in turn act as The Assistant and The Dark Presence inside the movie. This fic is a mess of overlapping realities, overlapping identities and overlapping feelings about those identities. Alice's is the one that surfaces the most (there's a whole bit with her and zane) but there are key moments where Barry shakes this hybrid personality imprinted on him u_u never got to write this fic but man I'm still fond of it.........
Post canon reunion fic Alan comes back! But Barry thoroughly believes that he's just a hallucination and tells him to fuck off. Basically Barry treating Alan like He was imaginary. A dramedy of sorts, and bc hes letally dead he cant get too close or make a fuzz. Alan: I've never told you how much you meant to me and I'm sorry 😔 //barry: psh of Course you'd say that, you're a figment of my imagination! What's next?
