So basically Overhaul models are meant to be sold privately rather than being bought in a brothel type of service (they take a LONG time to manufacture and cost a fortune so they really can’t be mass produced). They are all programed and designed, but only turned on for “beta testing”. They’re not supposed to be fully activated until they’re presented to their owner(s), the first face they’re supposed to see. Their first words are “I am for you, (owners name)” and then they’re meant to have a private conversation with their owner, asking them several questions and observing them so that their algorithms can form a basic picture of what their owner wants personality wises, physically, etc, and they can make the appropriate physical and behavioral alterations! Its of course not set in stone, as some people want different things at different times, so they are constantly analyzing their owners and making adjustments (they have a very very heightened ability to read body language and verbal cues and all that shit). The ideal though is for at least part of the base model’s design & character to already appeal to the prospective owner, since they cannot totally overwrite their key programing, only the physical aspects of their design.
