"KatieSkarlette, why are you suddenly fixated on a character from four expansions ago? Shouldn't you be immersed in the new stuff?"
That's a good question, hypothetical person I just invented to ask me that. I wish I had an answer. Whatever the reason, my brain has been in full Denathrius obsession mode this week.
So I did a thing. Or tried to.
It's criminal that the Nightborne model can get the right hair, chin and mouth shape, close-enough skin color, and a vaguely accurate eye color (magenta isn't that far from red), plus the diadem to make a really good Store Brand Denathrius, but the body is so damn lanky that the effect is ruined.
The only elf in game with even close to the right body shape is a night elf, but they have like...one, maybe two tolerable faces. You have to have a death knight skin tone to use the red eyes. The hair is either super long or braided, but not both. Zero jewelry options--unless you count vines, which the Sire most definitely would not. Compared to the customization options for newer races, it really is a stark contrast.
And, of course, none of the playable races can have eyebrows a different color than their hairdo, but that can't be helped. (Yes, I did mess around with a haranir model, too, even though I haven't unlocked them yet, but couldn't get a result I liked.)
So this was the best I could do. It was good enough to make me giggle while running around Oribos taking screenshots, anyway. I don't plan on making an AU!Denathrius series anytime soon, but I couldn't get this idea out of my head until I'd done it.
