Here are some stray guides to drawing Johnny--some more of my process to visualizing and understanding how Johnny's face is formed and how I try to capture everything on paper. I probably sound like a broken record, but I cannot stress enough how important it is to study facial anatomy (skull, muscles, fat) in order to better draw people. As much as I like cartoons, as an artist I recognize the way cartoons can limit your visualization of human facial anatomy. Start by studying real people, and then see where that takes you.
