SHINEE BOI!
Go-on Wings!!
I passed my first word count goal of the year yesterday, which feels great given that this year has been hard for me. (I've been struggling a lot with my health.) I try not to put too much pressure on myself in that regard, but I did want to try to match last year's total, and so far I am on track to do that.
I try to remind myself that last year I wrote the bulk of my words in the latter half of the year, so even if the first six months of 2025 were a little sparser, that's okay. Of course, it's one thing to say that and another thing entirely to convince myself. And that's part of why last year didn't have a quantifiable word goal at all. No matter how few or how many words I had by the end of the year, as long as I tried, that was a job well done.
Even if I don't hit my word count goal this year, I've still been trying, and that will have to be enough—it is good enough. But I hope I do! And so far it's looking good for that.
Anyway, I'm taking a moment this morning to be proud of myself before I head back to the word mines.
I am proud of myself.
Recent find.
