As sweet as she is merciless! I’m just a sucker for characters who subvert the “sweet, passive love interest” trope, and Sayaka does so in a way that still informs her character and grants her depth.

I do really like that she may be a nice girl overall, but because of what she’s suffered through and how hard she’s worked, she’s willing to do whatever it takes even if it’s unsavory.

She’s a genuinely tragic character!!!

The fact that she’s shown in a skimpy ass outfit on the cover of a magazine in zhen. All I can think about is how uncomfortable if not downright unpleasant of an experience that must have been for her considering she could have very well been only 15 at the time of shooting. And yet it’s shoved in our faces.
